NEW SPACE
Established at its historic Rive Gauche location since 1969, the gallery is now opening a second space in the heart of the Rive Droite, at 120 Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré, 75008 Paris. As we enter this exciting new chapter, we warmly invite visitors to discover our collection celebrating the great ensembliers-décorateurs of the Art Deco era — a defining cornerstone of our identity — while also extending our focus to the radical innovations of the post-war avant-garde.
This year, several important works from our collection are part of major exhibitions across France, including at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs de Paris, the Musée Zadkine, the Musée des Beaux-Arts de Bordeaux, and the Villa Noailles.

“Egyptian” lamp, 1933
Alberto Giacometti for Jean-Michel FrankThis “Egyptian” lamp is one of the true masterpieces of our collection: the “Toutankhamon” lamp by Alberto Giacometti, presented here in its black plaster version.
Created in 1933 for the interior designer Jean-Michel Frank, this model was inspired by the profound aesthetic impact Giacometti experienced upon discovering images of the ancient alabaster lamp formed of three lotus flowers, unearthed in 1922 in the tomb of Tutankhamun by the archaeologist Howard Carter and now preserved in the Egyptian Museum in Cairo. The lotus, a powerful symbol of rebirth in ancient Egypt, is here reinterpreted through a radically modern sculptural language.
Through this work, Giacometti transforms an archaeological source into a timeless object, distilling the essence of Pharaonic art into a form of striking purity and restraint.
